From April 2022 online appointments will be available. eConsult which is accessed through the banner below can also be used for appointments.
If you do not have internet access please call our reception who will help you to have your appointment telephone triaged by a GP.
If you have a runny nose, cough, fever -37.8 degrees centigrade or above, aches and pains or breathing problems do not come to the Surgery. Self-isolate for 7 days and if your condition deteriorates call 111.

NHS App
The NHS app allows patients to have electronic access to book appointments with their GP, order repeat prescriptions and access their GP record. The app was developed by NHS Digital and NHS England.

The Derry Down’s is improving the waiting time in the Surgery
You can help the doctors by discussing one problem per 10 minute slot.
Please be understanding that some patient’s need a little longer than the allocated 10 minutes.

Clinical Research at the Derry Downs Surgery
Derry Downs Surgery is proud to be a Research Ready Accredited Practice.
We work collaboratively with the NIHR Clinical Research Network which is the Research arm of the NHS.
Clinical Research is very important to improve care, treatments and ultimately patients’ quality of life.
Derry Downs Surgery supports several different types of Primary Care studies which have been ethically approved. Our GP Research Lead is Dr. Amrit Bindra.
If you are a patient at the Derry Downs Surgery, you may receive invitation letters to ask if you wish to take part in a research study. Joining in a research study is completely voluntary.
